As many of us know, Netflix releases new content every month, but to make room for the newer content, Netflix has to remove some of the older content. This month many of the best films that you may not have seen are being taken off of Netflix streaming, and you should try to catch them before they disappear.

This December, Red Hook Summer will be taken off of Netflix streaming and we think everyone should watch this film before it is gone.

Red Hook Summer is film by the famous Spike Lee. The film did not receive the highest of ratings, but was said to be a must watch due to the inspirational story line that Spike brought to the screen. The film was released in 2012, and is the sixth film in his Chronicles of Brooklyn series. The film was originally released at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, and was later available in August in major theaters across the United States.

Red Hook Summer follows an Atlanta teenager, Flik Royale, through one of the most interesting summers of his life. Flik spends his whole summer in the Brooklyn projects with his grandfather, Da Good Bishop Enoch Rouse. His grandfather and him spend most of their time bonding, but Flik is also adapting to this completely different lifestyle that he is not use to at all.

Red Hook Summer will no longer be available on Netflix streaming as of December 21st, which is less than a month away. The film has been nominated for awards, and with the awesome directing, should be a must watch. Red Hook Summer is not the only film being taken off of Netflix Streaming next month.
